The Carriage supplies shop is the one you can always reach: it sits inside the Carriage and is not tied to any chapter. It sells the plain gathering materials used in Alchemy (herbs, spores, flowers, scraps) at fixed prices with unlimited stock, and it stocks each chapter's local plant only after you have beaten that chapter's boss. If you own the Dark Mist DLC it also sells the Dim Mist Lamp and three grades of whale oil to burn in it (the lamp's light range and brightness depend on how pure the oil is, according to the item text). See Merchants for the rules every shop follows.
Who runs it#
The shop is opened from the Carriage menu entry "Let's see what you've got" (the first time, the vendor teases the party about wanting payment and says guiding them is free). The game's own Carriage tutorial mentions only "Glenn the Owl" as the character you buy from in the Carriage, so the vendor is presumably Glenn (inferred; no data row gives stock list 99601 a name). The shop dialog itself is a Type 6 row in the Carriage story (story 99) and there is a new copy of it every chapter (dialog rows 26044, 36039, 46046, 56058, 66053, 76379), all pointing at the same stock list, so the shop never changes between visits.
Stock#
"Available" shows the quest that makes the row appear. The boss-defeat quests reset when a new New Game Plus journey starts, so each plant has to be unlocked again by killing the boss again; the four DLC rows are flagged to be kept for the whole save.

Hidden mechanics#
- Prices follow the loop, stock never runs out. The twelve basic rows have stock -1 and prices that follow the usual journey steps (median x1.5 / x2.2 / x3.25 in journeys 2-4, see Chapter merchants#How prices and stock change per journey). Active Sendril, for instance, costs 3 / 5 / 8 / 12 Bone Fragments.
- Each plant waits on a boss. Adamina Herbs and the Bone Whistle need the Adamina boss quest 21006; Distorting Vine and Trippy Flower need Exilium's quest 31002; Active Symbiote and Eroded Rock need Katib's 51001; Glass Ball and Edith Moss need Edith's 41001; Twilight Weed needs Blessedland's 61001. The first three items (Heggem Mushroom, Mature Spore, Active Sendril) have no condition.
- The whale oils are only for DLC owners. Rows 99013-99016 have
DLCSwitch1, which the shop checks against the Deep into the Dark Mist DLC flag. The lamp is upgraded with these oils through quests (Key items#Dark Mist lamps and oils). They also need the boss-kill flags 91205 (Dim Mist Lamp), 91204 (Rancid Whale Oil), 91206 (Thickened Whale Oil) and 91207 (Refined Whale Oil). The flags are permanent and each item is a one-time purchase that is kept across New Game Plus. See Deep into the Dark Mist. - Whale oil gets dearer by tier but ignores journeys. 5, 10 and 20 Big Bone for the three oils and 30 Bone Fragments for the lamp, the same in all four journeys.
