An old woman in the Demiurge village of Edith is proud that her two elder sons went to the front against the Blessedland. Her youngest, Andrew, has run away since they left and she does not know where. She asks the Courier to find him.
Walkthrough#
- Find Andrew (log 20702). Listen to her and accept (the request ends her speech and sets flag 45010).
- The Name on the Stele (log 20703). Behind the village stands a stele listing the names of the Demiurges who volunteered for the revolt. Read it (a "read stele" interaction sets flag 45043): Andrew's name is on it, with the names of others who seemingly never came back.
- Return to her. When she asks "Have you found my son yet?", "Yes, I have" starts the lie: you tell her he went off to the Blessedland with the others. She is relieved and presses a reward on you. Answering "Sorry, no" only repeats the question and costs nothing.
The reward is a bottle of Starry Honey Wine (item 20029): "resets the Attributes of the Character". It lets you re-spend the attribute points of the hero who drinks it (see Attributes). The Gravedigger in Katib also accepts the wine for the same reset, so it can be spent there.
Hidden mechanics#
- The reward is given by the hand-in flag 45044, which gives the item with
ItemToBag. Her closing line (dialog 41109, "another long wait", she is still waiting for her elder sons) completes 45044 and the Witness flag 95041 together. - You must have read the stele first: the "Yes, I have" option is only shown when flag 45043 is set.
- None of the flags in this line is a boss-kill flag, so, unlike the Adamina and Katib lines, nothing in the quest data removes the woman when a boss falls (her spawn entry was not checked).
